Who We Are
PAC stands for Planting Appalachian Churches. PAC began in early 2020 when four pastors from two local churches not only saw the need for more Gospel-centered churches to be planted throughout Appalachia, but they also realized that they were stronger together. What was once an idea is now a reality. PAC consists of churches who have a heart for church planting and who long to see the Appalachian regions saturated with church communities who love Jesus and long to fulfill the Great Commission.
As an organization, we come together for the purpose of church planting. Our heart is to raise up leaders from within our congregations, or to support other churches as they do the same, and then assess and equip them to plant new churches. We desire to come alongside churches as they seek to plant new churches for the glory of Jesus. We believe that this is best accomplished with a church planter, a core group of believers, and a specific location. Once these things are in place, a potential planter is assessed and we spend 18-24 months developing that planter and his core group to plant a new church.
We seek to primarily plant churches through the sharing of resources: tools, ideas, plans, people, experience, and finances. We commit to walking with a church plant by giving them our very best, including a financial commitment for their first two years as a church.
